Discovery Oaks Academy, Sterling, Virginia, is a private school dedicated to providing an excellent educational experience that meets the individual needs of each child by creating a safe, challenging and supportive environment in which each student is stimulated to learn.

Our curriculum includes hands-on learning experiences, special events, computer time, music class, library time, outdoor play, and foreign languages to enhance the learning experience of the whole child.  The Discovery Oaks Academy child will grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually in an enriching, safe and child-centered environment.

Originally established in 1970 as a family-owned and operated kindergarten and child-care facility (previously known as The Blake School), Discovery Oaks Academy now offers full- and half-day preschool for ages 2 and 3; pre-kindergarten for 4-year-olds; full-day kindergarten; first grade; before- and after-school daycare; and summer day camps.

The Academy is accredited by the National Private Schools Accreditation Alliance, licensed by the Virginia Department of Social Services and inspected and approved by the Virginia Department of Health and the Loudoun County Fire Department.
