Pre-Kindergarten at Discovery Oaks Academy
Our Pre-Kindergarten program continues the literacy-based curriculum through learning experiences related to favorite children’s books.  Each book introduces the children to a world of learning through play and discovery. 

All academic, social, and emotional skills are reinforced through each book theme making the learning experience fun and exciting.  The children enjoy art projects, science, math, and language activities that focus on each book, reinforcing the wonderful world of literature and learning. 

Our program helps to instill Kindergarten readiness in an enriching, child-centered environment.

Who Should Attend
Children ages 4 and 5 are welcome in the Pre-Kindergarten classes.

Hours
Pre-Kindergarten classes are held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  A 5-day and 3-day is offered. 

Our 3-day Pre-Kindergarten classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week. 

A 3-day enrichment class is also offered from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  This option includes a Pre-K morning program, lunch, and afternoon enrichment.

Students may stay for “Lunch Bunch” in which they attend Pre-K class and either bring a lunch or purchase school lunch to enjoy with their classmates. Pre-K with Lunch Bunch is offered from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A well-balanced school lunch, including milk, may be purchased for $2.50 per day. 

We also offer an extended day option that includes the Pre-K morning program plus before- and after-school care.
